Dua Lipa is an English singer and songwriter who was born on 22 August 1995 within London United Kingdom. She decided to sign with Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model and launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album reached the top spot at No. 3 in the U.K. Charts. The album had eight singles released including Be the One I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules. In the United States it peaked as the 6th most popular album. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha as well as Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan rock group Oda.
