She really must have made an impression as she converted that single episode into starring in the next major hit television show, Firefly. Summer Glau's River Tam character was complex and Glau did a great job of handling it. She has also studied flamenco and tango, however her foot injury ended her dance career. Firefly had only one episode however it was an enormous success. Whedon was so in love with the show that he decided to return to the show just a couple of years afterward. Summer Glau, however, continued to receive quality work. Her work included TV shows Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
